Big Five Golf Safaris Terms and Conditions
Tour Package/ Prices
The tour packages as quoted are based on tariffs and rates
of exchange, which were applicable at the time that this Brochure/ Web
site was compiled. All packages /travel prices are subject to change, without
prior notice, due to unforeseen exchange rate fluctuations, tariff adjustments
and / or airfares which may become effective, up to and including the day
of departure.
Tour Itineraries
Tour/ Package itineraries/travel arrangements are subject
to alteration where necessary according to local conditions en route, without
prior notice. Due to various circumstances, tours are not always able to
follow the provisional / suggested routing as set out in the tour itinerary.
Information contained therein should therefore be regarded as a basic guide
only. Furthermore the duration of the tour may have to be extended or curtailed
due to unforeseen changes in transportation schedules. Any resultant additional
expenses will be borne by the client and any savings will be refunded to
the client.
Not included in Tour / Package Prices
Tour / Package prices do not include air flights
to and from the various tour pick-up and drop-off points in Africa; airport
taxes (unless specified); costs of obtaining visas and passports; telephone
calls; laundry; entertainment arrangements; meals and beverages and other
items of a personal nature, unless specified in the itinerary / tour programme.
Insurance
Although the purchase of the package with a credit card
will provide certain insurance cover, all passengers / clients are strongly
urged to take out adequate travel insurance covering personal accident,
medical expenses, baggage and cancellation insurance through default of
one of the service providers.
Air Transportation
Air Transportation will be economy class unless otherwise
stated in the tour / package.
Reservations/ Deposit / Full Payment
Unless otherwise specified, a non-refundable and non-transferable
deposit of 25 % of the total tour / package price, per person is
payable within seven days of making a reservation. The balance of the tour
/ package price is due not later then eight weeks prior to the departure,
unless otherwise specified. The total amount due is payable immediately
in respect of reservations received within eight weeks of departure. Provisional
reservations will automatically be canceled if the company has not received
a signed Passenger Booking Form together with the deposit or full payment,
as applicable, within 14 days (fourteen days) of reservation request.
Cancellations
Once reservations requested have been received in our
office they become liable for cancellation fees in accordance with the
following scale.
More than 8 weeks prior to departure - Deposit
paid or due forfeited.
Within 8 weeks of departure - 25% of total amount paid
or due.
Within 4 weeks of departure - 50% of total amount
paid or due.
Within 2 weeks of departure - 100% of total amount
paid or due.
These conditions will be strictly adhered to and cancellation
insurance is strongly recommended.
In accordance with the standard procedure adopted by tour
operators worldwide, we reserve the right to cancel a tour prior to departure
, in which event, the entire payment will be refundable without us incurring
any further obligation.
Contract
A contract will not exist between ourselves and the passenger
/client until such time as we have received a completed /signed copy of
our Standard Booking Form.
Unused Services
No refund will be considered for any unused services irrespective
of whether they form part of the basic inclusive tour price or whether
they are in respect of pre booked optional arrangements.
Travel Documentation
We will advise as to passport, visa, and health requirements,
as these regulations are subject to change. It is however the responsibility
of each passenger/ client to ensure that they are in possession of the
correct documentation prior to departure. We shall not accept responsibility
for any consequences of any nature whatsoever, from the passenger / client
failing to ensure that he/she has complied with the necessary health /
passport requirements. Passengers/ clients over the age of 75 years
are required to provide medical certificates certifying their fitness to
travel.
Late Bookings
A minimum late booking fee of 10 % per passenger / client
will be charged in respect of all reservations received within two weeks
of the departure date in order to cover urgent communication expenses.
Reconfirmations
Passengers/ clients are reminded about the importance
of reconfirming their onward and return flight reservations. Failure to
do so may result in cancellation of the passengers /clients reservation.
Responsibility
Big Five Golf Safaris and / or its agents,
partners, owners and employees in making travel arrangements act only as
agents on behalf of local and international principal suppliers of accommodation
/ transportation, and general travel related services. Consequently Big
Five Golf Safaris and / or its agents, partners, owners
and employees shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident,
delay or any other irregularity that may be occasioned by any defect in
any vehicle, or any other form of conveyance, or by error or default of
any company or person engaged in carrying out the tour / travel arrangements.
Big Five Golf Safaris and / or its agents,
partners, owners and employees does not accept responsibility or liability
for the financial defaults of any service provider which may
result in the non performance of obligations to the passenger /client,
in respect of pre-paid travel arrangements organised through Big
Five Golf Safaris and / or its agents, partners, owners
and employees, acting as agents, on behalf of such principals. |
