While the Wild Coast Sun Golf Course has many memorable holes, the 12th is probably the most breathtaking in Africa. This par 5 is played from an elevated tee down to a fairway which cuts through the valley and then rises again to the elevated green. It is thrilling to watch your ball plummet down to the fairway as you flirt with the water guarding the left side of the fairway.

The Wild Coast Sun Golf Course established in 1983 and host to the Pan Am Classic in 1984 is still considered to be a daunting challenge to professionals and amateurs alike, but its wide fairways and large greens allow golfers of all levels to shoot a career best. The course hosts an annual pro event and was placed number six in the top ten courses by "Compleat Golfer" for 2000.

The spectacular setting of the Robert Trent Jones designed course at the Wild Coast Sun has made it a favourite amongst amateur and professionals alike. After a steep climb to the 13th tee, it is a 146 metres shot over a cascading waterfall (often into a stiff sea breeze) and a deep gorge to the green.
