The Costa del Sol is one of the worlds top golfing destinations with over 40 golf courses along its 102 km long coastline. The 54 kms from Estepona to Marbella to Mijas, has about 30 courses. Three of Europe's top courses are located in the golden triangle of Sotograde, just 60 kms west of Marbella and are easily reached on the new highway. The Marbella Golf course in the foot hills of the Benahavis mountains, winds through pine, cork, oak, and carob trees, with marvelous views down to the sea and across to North Africa. Along the coast the Atalya old course is toughest of the two 18 holes courses, whilst Guadalimina South course has been named the 6th Tipperary -as it’s a long long course with the 10th and 11th running along side the sea. These courses are only a few of the many great courses you can play at the Costa del Golf.
