Few golf courses in South Africa attract as many visitors as Southbroom Golf Club. The par 71 layout is the focal point of this attractive little village on the Natal South Coast. The course is both picturesque and interesting with an abundance of bird life and frolicking monkeys making for an enjoyable game.
At times whales and dolphins can be seen in the warm Indian Ocean that borders the Southbroom Golf Course. By no means a championship course, it does not pretend to be a test of the professional golfers skill.
The 4th ( par3) is the signature hole on the Southbroom Golf Course, at just 112 metres, it is extremely short, but with the Indian Ocean crashing on the rocks below the green, it is spectacular and plays into the teeth of a howling Southwester. Even the accomplished player will require the right iron to reach the green.
The Southbroom Golf Course is always in top condition and the local golf enthusiasts will make the visitor feel welcome at the 19th tee.
